Don't Fruit the Beer!

This man law has been discussed once already on 4loveofbeer. I just realized that the last two brews are, dare I say, "fruit related". Dos Equis is superb with a lime wedge and the beer I brewed yesterday was a Fruit Beer base...

Would I normally brew a fruit beer, probably not. But my wife's birthday is next month, and I was hoping to make a beer that she might enjoy. I was going to do Blueberry pie, but she really wants something with strawberries. So...Strawberry Shortcake Ale it is. Strawberries and a vanilla bean should give the beer a taste reminicent of strawberries and cake. I hope this works!
